Empowered by the Word: Can’t Take that Away from Me

Passage: Luke 10:38-42

Verse: “But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.””  Luke‬ ‭10:41-42‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Martha was worried & upset as she struggled to prepare dinner for her guests. Her sister, Mary sat visiting with the guests rather than helping Martha as she should. When Martha asked Jesus to tell her sister to help her, Jesus’ reply caused a change that we need to remember today.

The 3 points from this lesson:

Martha was doing what she should;

Mary was doing what she needed;

Jesus invited both to join Him.
